About four years ago I went to get lasik but was told my cornea was thin in the goopy eye. They told me that if they did not get it corrected on the first shot then I was out of luck. After that I decided not to get lasik. A short time later, I went to my general physician because my goopy eye was bothering me. She put some dyes in my eye and used a black light to look in my eye. She found a hard contact lens lodge in my eyelid. It had been there for about 12 years! Since then my eye is not goopy anymore. I hope that the cornea has thickened.
