    • Description:

I used to live in Glendale Az. I loved this place and still do. The whole surrounding areas: Tempe, Scottsdale, Phoenix. I love these places. Also, great tourists attractions, lots to do here and places to go. I currently reside in El Paso, Tx and let me tell ya...I'm dying to come back to this great place I call my second home. I have a couple of friends out here and some throughout the whole Phoenix area. The food, people and atmosphere is fantastic. I would love for my kids to grow up here if I could bring them here...From the Phoenix Suns to the Diamondbacks and all the theatrical antics that take place here, this truly is a place that i can call home. This is my first of many blogs so I'll keep in touch. Catch ya later and GO GO GO Suns..

  • I NEED corrective eye surgery! I NEED corrective eye surgery!

    • From: Markd25
    • Description:

My name is Mark de Garriz and I NEED corrective eye surgery! Since I can remember I have needed to wear glasses. During these hard economic times it is becoming harder and harder to keep up with my corrective lenses. My contacts need to be specially ordered and the cost of my lenses for my glasses alone are becoming too costly. My glasses are about 3 years old now and my prescription needs to be updated. I have gone to many eye specialists about corrective eye surgery and because of the severity of my condition normal lasik surgery is not an option for me. I have even gone to Dr. Schwartz but because of the cost of the procedure I still haven't been able to have my vision corrected.

This video shows how I see the world without any corrective lenses (well as close to my blurriness as I could make it). Although these scenarios were setup, my vision is just as blurry.

Please Phoenix Fans! Vote for my video!

  • My Son's First Game My Son's First Game

    • From: navmlx
    • Description:

So my son and I have just gotten home from the Toronto game tonight. What a game! We had a great time, and he had fun. Although, he wanted to leave like 5 minute into the first quarter, because it was so noisy. I told him that this is how all the games are and that he should just give it some time, of course a soda and temporary tattoos help sway him. Then after that he was cheering along, and clapping. Of course for every Lou Amundsen point, he shush my mouth while the crowd yelled, "LOOOOOOUUUUU!!!"

This was my first game at the U.S. Airway Center, and the first I've attended in almost 15 years. Yeah, I'm a fan and watch games on TNT, FSN, My 45, or ABC as much as possible. But being there in the arena is no comparison to watching on TV.

I think my son really got a feel for what being a fan is like, because he said, "Dad, do all these people like the Suns too?!"

To which I laughed and said,"Just have fun and you can yell all you want here."

Of course, in all the rush to get ready, eat dinner, and get to the game on time I forgot the camera (which would've been perfect for his high five with on of the dancers). Which would have been great for before the game when he was shooting around and playing at the Gorilla Greenhouse. Another addition, I was unaware of, since a tour of the area when I was in like 5th grade. So I will be going to more games and taking my son, who was in the Free Throw magazine in the Planet Orange section with me and my youngest, to as many games as possible. Of course, his little brother will have to join in soon too. What a great coincidence for this game huh? Well, GO SUNS and see ya at the games!
