Description:
So my son and I have just gotten home from the Toronto game tonight. What a game! We had a great time, and he had fun. Although, he wanted to leave like 5 minute into the first quarter, because it was so noisy. I told him that this is how all the games are and that he should just give it some time, of course a soda and temporary tattoos help sway him. Then after that he was cheering along, and clapping. Of course for every Lou Amundsen point, he shush my mouth while the crowd yelled, "LOOOOOOUUUUU!!!"
This was my first game at the U.S. Airway Center, and the first I've attended in almost 15 years. Yeah, I'm a fan and watch games on TNT, FSN, My 45, or ABC as much as possible. But being there in the arena is no comparison to watching on TV.
I think my son really got a feel for what being a fan is like, because he said, "Dad, do all these people like the Suns too?!"
To which I laughed and said,"Just have fun and you can yell all you want here."
Of course, in all the rush to get ready, eat dinner, and get to the game on time I forgot the camera (which would've been perfect for his high five with on of the dancers). Which would have been great for before the game when he was shooting around and playing at the Gorilla Greenhouse. Another addition, I was unaware of, since a tour of the area when I was in like 5th grade. So I will be going to more games and taking my son, who was in the Free Throw magazine in the Planet Orange section with me and my youngest, to as many games as possible. Of course, his little brother will have to join in soon too. What a great coincidence for this game huh? Well, GO SUNS and see ya at the games!
